At the core of the Tamalpa Life/Art Process lies the understanding that creative connection is vital to our sense of well-being: Connection to ourselves, to others, and to the natural world. This workshop is an invitation to rediscover these connections and explore the art of relating through a somatic and creative lens.
Through guided movement and artistic explorations, including drawing, creative writing, and performance, Dr Sammartino will guide you to:
• Reconnect with the wisdom of your body, cultivating self-awareness, safety and creative expression.
• Explore the dynamics of healthy boundaries and artful communication.
• Deepen your relationship with nature, grounding yourself and nurturing a sense of belonging in the world.
This course is designed for therapists, educators and individuals who want to incorporate the embodied creativity of the arts into their personal lives and/or professional practice. No previous dance or art experience is required.
To get the most out of this online class, please prepare a comfortable space to move in with access to your online device. Also, have art supplies ready at hand for the drawing activity and paper and pen for journaling and creative writing exercises.
Please note: Tamalpa does not record nor permit the recording of any classes or workshops due to the sensitive and sometimes vulnerable nature of the work, and to protect student privacy.
