RECORDINGS OF ZOOM TRAINING SEMINARS

Training seminars that take place on Zoom are recorded and the video recordings are made available to students for purposes of make-up and review upon request. Video recordings of training seminars are only available to students who are enrolled in that specific training. To maintain confidentiality, video recordings are not to be shared outside of the student cohort. All course material presented in these videos is under the copyright of Tamalpa Institute. All students are required to sign a Zoom recording waiver and a form confirming they have read the Student Handbook which describes students’ responsibility for confidentiality within their cohort and guidelines regarding copyright of intellectual property.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

As of March 2019, all of our training programs are taught online.  International students who enroll  in our online training programs do not need to apply for a student visa.

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY**

Students must be proficient in the English language to attend Tamalpa’s Training Program. Tamalpa Institute does not provide translation services or instruction in English as a Second Language (ESL). Class instruction will be in English. Students who do not have English as their primary language, should take a test, such as the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), and must provide a minimum score of 79 (internet-based test) or 500 (written test). Or students can take the IELTS test, providing a minimum score of 6.5. English proficiency is required and is also assessed through the application materials received, as well as during an interview with the Program Coordinator. If you have any questions regarding verification of English proficiency, please e-mail our Program Coordinator.

Note: As of September 1, 2022 the Ability-to-Benefit test will not be required for Non-High School graduates or the equivalent.  However, applicants must be at least 18 years of age to attend Tamalpa’s Training Program.

Non-High School graduates or the equivalent must be at least 18 years of age (beyond the age of compulsory attendance) and will be required to pass the Ability-to-Benefit test prior to signing an enrollment agreement with the institute. Our institution uses the Wonderlic Basic Skills Test (WBST) Verbal forms (VS-1 & VS-2) and Quantitative Forms (QS-1 & QS-2). The institution’s administrative team will provide applicants with additional information as how to arrange for the Ability-to-Benefit test.

All Ability-to-Benefit students must take and pass the test prior to admissions. This test is approved by the U.S. Department of Education, with a passing score of 200 for the Verbal test and a passing score of 210 for the Quantitative test.
